Brytoq Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
Brytoq is operated by STURMOST TECHNOLOGIES LTD. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and retain personal information when you use Brytoq. For Kenya data protection purposes, STURMOST TECHNOLOGIES LTD is registered with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) as both a Data Controller and a Data Processor.
1. Who is responsible for your information
STURMOST TECHNOLOGIES LTD is the organization responsible for Brytoq and for personal data processed in connection with the platform.
Depending on the activity, STURMOST TECHNOLOGIES LTD may act as a Data Controller (for example, when we decide how Brytoq account, verification, and support data is used) and as a Data Processor (for example, when we process information on behalf of another party under a written arrangement).
Privacy and data-rights requests may be sent to [email protected]. You may also contact Brytoq through the in-app Support page or the WhatsApp number shown on this page.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile information you provide, including name, email, phone number, age, registration type, country, user role, and profile image.
Content you upload or create on Brytoq, including projects, sale listings, jobs, pitches, media, messages, and related business details.
Usage, device, and security information used to operate, protect, and improve the service, including device identifiers used for push notifications where that feature is enabled.
Support communications, reports, and records created when you contact Brytoq or when we review an account, payment, or safety issue.
3. Background Verification Check (BVC)
Brytoq operates a dedicated Background Verification Check (BVC) process. BVC is designed to help establish the identity and authenticity of users participating in business and investment-related activities. It is not required for general access to Brytoq. Accounts that have not completed it are identified as Not Verified.
If you choose to complete BVC, we may collect your full legal name as shown on your government-issued identity document, front and back images of that document, selected platform uses, and any other information requested in the BVC form.
We also process BVC review outcomes, verification status (including Verified and Not Verified labels), reviewer notes needed to complete the check, and records of the BVC fee payment. The fee is $5. Payment does not guarantee approval.
Verified status means identity and background checks were completed according to Brytoq's process. It is not an investment recommendation, financial guarantee, endorsement of a business, confirmation that a company is safe to invest in, or a guarantee of a user's future conduct.
Identity documents and BVC records are treated as highly sensitive. They are stored securely and accessed only by authorized personnel, service providers engaged to help operate verification, or where required by law.
4. NDA acceptance and confidentiality records
Where Brytoq requires acceptance of the Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, we may store that acceptance with your Brytoq account UID, submitted full name, selected platform uses, signature name, timestamp, and NDA version.
These records are used to show that confidentiality terms were presented and accepted, to operate BVC and related platform features, and to protect confidential information shared through Brytoq.
5. Payments, Service Connects, and billing records
If you buy Service Connects or pay a BVC or other platform fee, we process payment confirmation data from the payment provider, including amount, date, currency, payment reference, and whether the payment was confirmed, pending, reversed, disputed, or placed under review.
Service Connects are Brytoq in-app credits used for eligible platform actions such as publishing, applications, boosts, and other paid actions shown before confirmation. They are not cash, bank deposits, securities, or stored monetary value, and they cannot be withdrawn from the platform.
Your Service Connects balance is credited only after the payment provider confirms payment. Card numbers and similar payment credentials are handled by the payment provider, not stored by Brytoq as full card data.
6. How we use your information
To provide Brytoq features, including accounts, publishing, discovery, messaging, jobs, market listings, investor communication, boosts, support, and related platform services.
To complete Background Verification Check (BVC), maintain verification status, and reduce fake accounts, impersonation, fraud, and other platform abuse.
To process payments, credit Service Connects, review payment issues, and keep billing and compliance records.
To prevent fraud, enforce the Terms of Service, handle reports, and protect users, Brytoq, and the public.
To respond to support requests, deletion requests, and data-rights requests, and to improve the product.
Brytoq does not use BVC, NDA, or payment records to sell an investment, to hold investment funds for users, or to transfer investment money between investors and founders.
7. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We share information with service providers who help us operate Brytoq, such as hosting, authentication, payment processing, messaging, storage, and authorized BVC reviewers. Those providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to Brytoq.
We may share information where required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate fraud or abuse, or in connection with a corporate transaction affecting STURMOST TECHNOLOGIES LTD or Brytoq.
BVC documents, NDA acceptance records, and identity information are kept confidential and are not shared with other users as a general platform feature.
8. Retention and deletion
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, protect the platform, resolve disputes, and meet legal, accounting, tax, payment, and safety obligations.
You may update some profile information inside Brytoq. You may request account deletion through the Delete Account page, in-app settings, or by contacting support.
Some records may be retained after account deletion where the law requires it or where we must keep evidence for fraud prevention, payment disputes, BVC review, NDA acceptance, or legal claims. Where we retain such records, we limit them to what is necessary for those purposes.
9. Your data protection rights
Subject to applicable law, including the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, you may request access to personal data we hold about you, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, or information about how your data is used.
To make a privacy or data-rights request, email [email protected] with enough detail for us to identify your account and the request. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request.
If you are in Kenya and are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).
10. Age requirement
Brytoq is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a person under 18 has created an account, contact support and we will take steps to review and remove the information.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Brytoq features or data practices change. The current version is published on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Brytoq after an update means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
