Brytoq Frequently Asked Questions

What is Background Verification Check (BVC) on Brytoq? Find answers about verification, Service Connects, publishing, jobs, investor chat, and account support.

Why does Brytoq require a live selfie during registration?

Brytoq asks you to capture a current photo of your own face using your device camera during registration. The camera guide checks that one face is visible and positioned clearly. The captured photo becomes your profile image. This adds a layer of accountability and helps people recognize who they are connecting with across Brytoq.

How does the registration selfie support trust across Brytoq?

Brytoq connects founders and investors, job applicants and employers, and buyers and sellers of projects, ideas, companies and shares. Using a current photo of your own face helps discourage anonymous impersonation and misleading profiles behind funding requests, job offers, marketplace listings and messages. It supports more accountable introductions, but does not eliminate fraud or replace checking the person and opportunity yourself.

Can I use a saved photo, another person or an AI-generated face?

No. Use the live camera capture to photograph yourself. Do not submit a saved or stolen photo, another person, a photo on a screen, a recording, an AI-generated face or a deepfake, and do not bypass the checks. These rules help reduce fake profiles, impersonation and deceptive approaches. Misuse can prevent registration or lead to account review, restriction or removal.

Does a live selfie mean someone is BVC Verified or safe to transact with?

No. Live registration capture and Background Verification Check (BVC) are separate. The camera checks help capture a clearly positioned face; they do not prove legal identity, business ownership, financial capacity, qualifications or honest intentions, and cannot guarantee detection of every spoofing attempt. A selfie does not grant Verified status or guarantee an investment, job, sale or funding outcome. Check the person, company and transaction independently before sharing sensitive information or sending money.

Who can see my selfie, and what if my camera does not work?

The captured selfie is used as your profile image and can be seen by other users where your profile appears. See the Privacy Policy for information about profile-image handling and your data rights. If capture fails, allow camera access, use good lighting, keep only your face in the guide and follow the prompts. Try a compatible camera-enabled device or contact Brytoq support. Do not substitute someone else's face or a saved photo.

What are Service Connects used for?

Service Connects are Brytoq in-app credits used for supported paid actions such as publishing projects or sale listings, publishing adverts, applying to jobs, boosting visibility, and other paid actions shown before confirmation. They are not cash and cannot be withdrawn from the platform.

How do I buy Service Connects and when will my balance update?

Open Buy Service Connects, choose a package, and complete payment using an available payment method. Your balance updates only after payment confirmation from the provider. If the payment is pending, reversed, disputed, mismatched, or under manual review, the credits may not appear immediately.

Why were Service Connects deducted from my balance?

A deduction happens when you confirm an eligible paid action. Examples include publishing content, applying to a job, or buying a boost package. The price should be shown on the relevant screen before you continue.

Why is my project, sale listing, or advert not live yet?

Content may still be uploading, waiting for moderation, blocked by incomplete fields, or held by compliance review. Confirm that you finished the full submit flow, uploaded the required media, and saw a successful completion state before reposting the same content.

How do I publish a business idea for sale on Brytoq?

Use an entrepreneur account, then open Publish → Publish for sale → Publish a business idea for sale (web: /market/ideas/category, then /market/ideas/publish). Complete every required field in order:

1) Choose a category (for example FinTech, SaaS, E-Commerce, or Other).

2) Upload a landscape cover image you own or can license.

3) Enter the idea name (up to 100 characters).

4) Enter the asking amount in USD.

5) Select the stage: Concept, Prototype, or MVP.

6) Choose selling percentage: 100% Full sale (buyer gets the whole opportunity; no pitch video on this form) or 50% Partnership (buyer gets 50% and you keep 50%; optional matching investor pitch video).

7) Tap Add idea details and complete: public teaser (30–50 words), What the idea solves, and Market competition. Other info for the buyer is optional. Share what the idea does and why it matters — never how it is built.

8) Select a data reviewer.

9) Confirm the 250 Service Connect cost and publish.

For a 50% listing without a pitch video, the idea stays visible only to you until you attach a matching pitch. AI help is optional; the strongest listings are written by you from real evidence. Full walkthrough: /blog/how-to-publish-business-idea-for-sale-on-brytoq

What is the difference between 100% full sale and 50% partnership for an idea listing?

100% Full sale means the buyer acquires the whole opportunity. The pitch-video attachment is not used on that path. 50% Partnership means the buyer acquires half and you retain half. On 50% you may optionally attach one of your own investor pitch videos whose title matches the idea name. If you publish 50% without a pitch, the listing stays private to you until a matching pitch is attached; with a pitch it can become publicly discoverable after review. Both paths still require category, cover, name, USD amount, stage, idea details, and a data reviewer.

What fields are required to publish a business idea for sale?

Required on both the Brytoq app and web form: category, cover image, idea name, USD asking amount, stage (Concept / Prototype / MVP), selling percentage (100% or 50%), public teaser (30–50 words), What the idea solves, Market competition of the idea, and a data reviewer. Optional: Other info for the buyer. Optional on 50% only: attach a matching investor pitch video. Publishing costs 250 Service Connects. Do not put code, formulas, suppliers, or implementation steps in the public fields.

What usually stops a publish flow from working?

Common causes are insufficient Service Connects, incomplete required fields, unsupported files, weak network connectivity, missing images, country restrictions, or a form step that was filled visually but not actually saved. Review each required field carefully and confirm the final submit step.

Do boosts guarantee views, investor replies, or sales?

No. Boosts increase visibility for supported content for the package duration shown in the product, but they do not guarantee impressions, messages, investment, sales, or any transaction outcome.

Why can’t I apply for a job?

Applications can fail if you do not have enough Service Connects, your profile or CV section is incomplete, the job is no longer open, or the application flow still needs extra information or a reviewer step. Complete every required field in the apply flow before trying again.

Does paying to apply mean I will be hired?

No. The payment only submits your application through Brytoq. Hiring decisions, interviews, and offers are made by the employer or client, not guaranteed by the platform.

What is Background Verification Check (BVC)?

Background Verification Check (BVC) is Brytoq's trust and verification process designed to help establish the identity and authenticity of users participating in business and investment-related activities on the platform.

It helps Brytoq reduce fake accounts, impersonation, fraudulent activity and other forms of platform abuse.

The check is not required for general access to Brytoq. Users may access eligible free features without completing it. Accounts that have not completed it are clearly identified as Not Verified, and other users may be advised to exercise additional caution when interacting with them.

Users who successfully complete the check receive a Verified status on their account. Verified means identity and background checks were completed according to Brytoq's process. It does not mean Brytoq confirms that a company or listing is safe to invest in.

The fee is $5. Payment does not guarantee approval. Verification decisions are based on Brytoq's requirements and the information provided during review.

Background Verification Check (BVC) and Verified status do not constitute an investment recommendation, financial guarantee, endorsement of a user's business, or guarantee of a user's future conduct.

Is Background Verification Check (BVC) required to use Brytoq?

No. Background Verification Check (BVC) is not required for general access to Brytoq. Users may access eligible free features without completing it. Accounts that have not completed it are clearly identified as Not Verified, and other users may be advised to exercise additional caution when interacting with them.

How much does Background Verification Check (BVC) cost?

The fee for Background Verification Check (BVC) is $5. Payment does not guarantee approval. Decisions are based on Brytoq's verification requirements and the information provided during review.

What does Verified status mean?

Users who successfully complete Background Verification Check (BVC) receive a Verified status on their account. Verified means identity and background checks were completed according to Brytoq's process. It does not mean Brytoq confirms that a company or listing is safe to invest in. That status does not constitute an investment recommendation, financial guarantee, endorsement of a user's business, or guarantee of a user's future conduct.

Why am I being asked to complete Background Verification Check (BVC) or another compliance step?

Background Verification Check (BVC) is not required for general access to Brytoq. You may be asked to complete it if you want Verified status, or in connection with business and investment-related activities. Accounts that have not completed it are identified as Not Verified. Follow the requested steps exactly as shown and wait for the confirmation state. The $5 fee does not guarantee approval.

Why is my account or content restricted?

Brytoq can hide, moderate, limit, or remove content that breaks product rules, payment rules, safety standards, or legal requirements. Accounts may also be restricted for suspicious activity, repeated abuse, unresolved compliance issues, or fraud signals.

What is the Brytoq Founder Fund?

The Brytoq Founder Fund is designed to recognize and support serious founders actively building through Brytoq. It is for qualifying Brytoq users who meet program eligibility — including founder verification, published projects, qualifying business pitches and meaningful platform participation.

Who can join the Founder Fund waitlist?

Founder Fund eligibility is for established Brytoq founders who meet the program requirements shown in Brytoq — such as completed Background Verification Check (BVC), the required number of published projects, qualifying business pitch videos, good account standing and meaningful Brytoq activity. Meeting eligibility lets you join the waitlist; it does not guarantee selection or funding.

Is there a separate fee to apply for the Founder Fund?

There is no separate Founder Fund application fee. Normal Brytoq platform requirements continue to apply, including founder verification and building your presence through projects, pitches and participation on Brytoq.

Payments for Background Verification Check (BVC), Service Connects, publishing, boosts or other Brytoq services do not purchase an investment, increase a user's entitlement to funding, or guarantee selection for the Founder Fund. Founder Fund decisions are made separately from purchases made on the platform.

How does investor chat access work?

Investor chat is free for eligible entrepreneurs. Eligibility currently includes a completed Background Verification Check (BVC), at least 1 month of active Brytoq use, at least 1 active published project, and at least 1 video pitch attached for investors. Meeting these requirements lets you message investors through Brytoq, but it does not guarantee a response, review, advice, or investment. The check is not required for general access to Brytoq.

Does Brytoq hold or transfer investment money between investors and founders?

No. Brytoq is a discovery, verification, and communication platform. Investors and founders connect and communicate through Brytoq. Brytoq does not hold investment funds, take custody of investment money, or transfer investment capital from an investor to a founder. Any investment, loan, equity sale, or similar transaction discussed through Brytoq must be handled directly between the parties through their own lawful arrangements.

Are Service Connects or paid actions refundable?

Service Connects, publish fees, boosts, and job applications are generally non-refundable after confirmation or use unless required by law, required by the payment processor, or approved by Brytoq as a correction.

How should I contact support for the fastest help?

Open Support and send the exact page name, the issue you hit, the action you were trying to complete, any error message, and screenshots. For payment issues, include the payment reference, amount, and date so the team can trace the transaction quickly.
