How to Publish a Business Idea for Sale on Brytoq
Brytoq How-to · September 7, 2026 · 14 min read
Step-by-step guide matching the Brytoq app and web form: every field, 100% full sale vs 50% partnership, optional pitch video, idea details, reviewer, credits, and optional AI help.
- The web and mobile idea forms use the same fields: category, cover, name, USD amount, stage, 100% or 50%, idea details, reviewer, and publish cost.
- 100% is a full sale; 50% is a partnership with an optional matching pitch video and owner-only visibility until a pitch is attached.
- AI is optional. The strongest listings are written by you from real evidence — not pasted generic AI text.
Step 1 — Open the same publish path as the app
You need a signed-in Brytoq account with a completed entrepreneur profile. Idea publishing is an entrepreneur action on both the Android app and brytoq.com.
On web: open Publish → Publish for sale → Publish a business idea for sale, or go directly to the category page. On the app: Market / Publish leads to the same Business Idea category picker, then the idea form. The fields below match both clients.
- Web category page: /market/ideas/category
- Web form: /market/ideas/publish?category=…
- Cost shown on the form: 250 Service Credits (S.C.)
- Prepare a landscape cover image you own or can license
Open business idea categories — If you are signed out, Brytoq asks you to sign in and finish your entrepreneur profile first.
Step 2 — Choose the category
Pick the closest market bucket so buyers browsing that category can find you. Available categories include FinTech, AgriTech, EdTech, HealthTech, E-Commerce, Logistics, Real Estate, SaaS, AI / ML, and Other (plus the full set shown on the category page).
You can change the category again inside the publish form before you submit. Choose the market buyers expect — not the cleverest internal nickname for the idea.
Step 3 — Fill every main listing field
These fields appear on both the Kotlin app form and the web form. Fill them in order; leave none blank except where marked optional.
- Idea cover image (required): landscape / 16:9 style image. It becomes the marketplace card visual. Use a clear photo or graphic you own — not a stolen screenshot.
- Business idea name (required, up to 100 characters): short and specific. Avoid “revolutionary,” “guaranteed,” or vague slogans. If you later attach a 50% pitch video, the pitch title must match this name.
- Amount / asking price (required, USD $): numbers and decimal only. For 100% this is the full-sale asking price. For 50% this is the price for the half you are offering.
- Stage (required): choose one chip — Concept, Prototype, or MVP. This shows as a card stat. Be honest; overstating stage destroys trust.
- Selling percentage (required): switch between 100% · Full sale and 50% · Partnership. See the next sections for what changes.
Step 4A — If you choose 100% · Full sale
Use 100% when the buyer should acquire the whole opportunity and you are not retaining a partnership share.
The pitch-video attachment block is hidden. You do not attach an investor pitched video on a full-sale idea listing. Focus on a clear cover, honest stage, realistic price, and strong idea details.
After approval, a full-sale idea is intended for public marketplace discovery (subject to review). Keep implementation secrets out of the public text either way.
- Switch: 100% · Full sale
- Buyer acquires: the full opportunity you describe
- Pitch video on this form: not used
- Price field: your full asking amount in USD
- Still required: cover, name, stage, idea details, data reviewer
Step 4B — If you choose 50% · Partnership
Use 50% when a buyer or co-builder should acquire half and you retain half. The form labels this as partnership and shows an extra optional block: Investor pitched video.
Pitch video is optional at publish time. You may publish without a video so you can unlock pitch upload for this idea afterward. Until a matching pitch is attached, a 50% listing stays visible only to you (owner-only). With a matching pitch attached, it can go public after review like other listings.
To attach a video: enter the idea name first, then open the pitch picker and choose one of your own active pitches whose title matches the idea name. You can detach it before publish if you change your mind. Switching back to 100% clears any attached pitch.
- Switch: 50% · Partnership
- Buyer acquires 50%; you retain 50%
- Price field: asking amount for the 50% share
- Pitch video: optional; title must match idea name
- No pitch yet → listing stays private to you until you attach one
- Pitch attached → can become publicly discoverable after review
Step 5 — Add idea details (required for both 50% and 100%)
Tap Add idea details. Brytoq first shows a Protect your idea reminder: share what the idea does and why it matters — never how it is built on a public listing.
Then complete the details screen. The same sections exist on app and web.
- Public teaser (required): 30–50 words and up to 500 characters. Explain WHAT it does and WHY it matters for a clear customer. No code, formulas, supplier lists, or step-by-step methods.
- What the idea solves (required, up to 1,500 characters): name the painful problem and who feels it. Stay high-level.
- Market competition of the idea (required, up to 1,500 characters): who else is in the space and what makes you different — without revealing the method.
- Other info for the buyer? (optional, up to 1,500 characters): transfer notes, validation summaries, or handover context a serious buyer may need — still no trade secrets.
How to fill each idea-detail field well
Write in your own words. The highest-quality listings are mind-written by the founder from real customer conversations, research, and work already done. AI can help you brainstorm or tighten wording later, but it is not required and should not replace your judgment.
Safe teaser pattern (aim for 30–50 words): “[Customer] struggles with [specific problem]. [Idea name] is a [type of solution] meant to help them [outcome]. This matters because [honest, high-level reason you can support].”
For “What the idea solves,” answer: who hurts, what hurts, how often, and what they do today instead — without teaching a competitor how to copy you. For “Market competition,” name the category of alternatives (agencies, spreadsheets, incumbent apps) and one high-level difference. Leave the optional field blank if you have nothing useful to add.
Step 6 — Select a data reviewer and publish
Data reviewer is required. Choose a reviewer from the picker before you can submit. Re-check category, cover, name, amount, stage, 100% vs 50%, pitch (if any), and idea details.
Tap publish. Brytoq checks that you have enough Service Credits for the cost shown on the form (250 S.C.). If your balance is low, you are sent to buy credits first. After a successful submit you land on the sales / market area and the listing enters the review workflow.
Start on the idea category page — Choose category → complete every required field → pick reviewer → publish.
Optional: use AI to help — not to replace you
AI is a choice, not a requirement. Many strong sellers never use it. Prefer ideas and wording that come from your own mind and evidence. If you do use AI, treat it as a drafting assistant: brainstorm problems, challenge assumptions, or shorten a teaser you already believe — then rewrite in your voice and verify every claim.
Useful optional prompt: “Act as a critical analyst. Using only the notes I provide, suggest a 30–50 word Brytoq public teaser that states what the idea does and why it matters without explaining how it works. Flag any sentence that invents facts.” Never paste confidential methods, customer personal data, passwords, or protected documents into an AI tool.
- Best quality: mind-written by you from real evidence
- AI optional for brainstorming or editing — never for fake proof
- You remain responsible for originality, accuracy, and IP
- Do not claim AI output is patented, validated, or unique without proof
After publish — what buyers should still verify
A listing helps discovery; it is not a guarantee of originality, ownership, value, or a successful transfer. Buyers should confirm what is included, ask for evidence, use written terms, and get independent advice where needed. Sellers should keep implementation detail for a controlled conversation after serious interest — and after payment or a proper agreement when appropriate.

Questions and answers
Where is the Brytoq idea publishing form?
On web: /market/ideas/category then /market/ideas/publish. On the Android app: the Business Idea category page then the Business Idea publish form. You need a signed-in entrepreneur profile. Fields match across app and web.
What is the difference between 100% and 50%?
100% Full sale offers the whole opportunity; the pitch-video block is not used. 50% Partnership offers half while you keep half; you may optionally attach a matching investor pitch video. Without a pitch, a 50% listing stays private to you until you attach one.
Which fields are required?
Category, cover image, idea name, USD amount, stage (Concept / Prototype / MVP), selling percentage (100 or 50), public teaser (30–50 words), what the idea solves, market competition, and a data reviewer. Optional: other buyer info, and for 50% only — a matching pitch video.
Do I have to use AI?
No. AI is optional. The best listings are usually written by the user from their own research and experience. AI can help brainstorm or polish wording if you choose, but you must verify everything and never expose secrets.
Should I explain exactly how the idea works?
No. Explain what it does, who it serves, and why it matters. Keep code, formulas, implementation steps, suppliers, private datasets, and other copyable details out of the public listing.
